Thank you for selecting Advanced Orthopedics in Austin, Texas for your orthopedic care. To schedule an appointment, please call us  or use our online appointment request form.

Effective January 1, 2017 Advanced Orthopedics, PA will be “Opting Out” of Medicare. This decision comes after much thought and analysis by our physician leader and staff. This decision comes as a result of increasing pressures, both financial and administrative, with regards to to providing care for Medicare patients. This decision also affords us the ability to focus more on each individual patient encounter but more importantly the relationship made with each patient.

You might be asking yourself the following question; what does this mean for me? This means that Advanced Ortho, PA will enter into individual payment contracts with each individual Medicare beneficiary/patient. By directly entering into individual payment contracts with our patient, this means that neither Advanced Ortho, PA nor our patients will receive Medicare reimbursement for services rendered by our physician or staff. More simply stated all medical services rendered will be paid out of pocket. However, if you elect to proceed with surgery or a procedure requiring a visit to the ambulatory surgical center or hospital you will be able to utilize your Medicare Part A benefits.

This decision will effect the following health insurance plans:

  • Medicare Part-B (Palmetto GBA)
  • Medicare Advantage Plans
    • BCBS Blue Medicare, AARP Medicare Complete, etc..
  • Medicare Supplement Plans
    • BCBS Plan F, BCBS Plan G, etc…
  • Tricare for Life
